Maud Sjöblom

Maud Sjöblom, special educationalist and trainer with a supervisers degree.

I have worked as a teacher for 35 years, mainly with pupils with special needs. Today I work as a consultant and trainer in SFE (Solution-Focused Education). I have been supervising school staff since 1993 and training teachers since 1999. During my 22 years at Mellansjö School (a solution-focused school- and treatment institution) in Täby, Stockholm, I found the solution-focused approach very helpful in my work with the pupils and their parents. I have participated in Steve de Shazer´s supervision group for some years. 1995 I visited my first EBTA-conference in Paris and have since then been running workshops at almost every EBTA-conference. I have also been running workshops (together with Kerstin) at two SFBTA-conferences (in California 2003 and in Florida 2005).
We have developed what we today call the Solution-focused Education, and 2001 we released our first book, which have been translated into English, Bulgarian, Dutch and Chinese. In January 2009 we released our second book, Lip-Focus, Lip stands for Solution-Focused Education and Focus stands for Feedback and coaching to develop the School. I´m very grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know Steve de Shaze rand Insoo Kim Berg and for all the support they gave us during the years.
